Dr. Paul S. Cunningham is a board-certified ophthalmologist and surgeon, pediatric and strabismus specialist, and Dr. Sarah B. Mahmoud is a board certified optometrist in Clinton, MD, who are passionate about improving vision and eye health. Dr. Cunnigham has extensive experience in both general and specialized eye care, including glaucoma treatment, cataract treatment, pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus treatment, as well as Dr. Mahmoud extensive eye care such as glaucoma treatment, routine eye treatment, and diabetic treatment. They are committed to providing personalized, top-quality care.
Dr. Mahmoud
Dr. Sarah Mahmoud is a graduate of the Kentucky College of Optometry in Pikeville, Kentucky. She was on the executive board of the Private Practice Club, Student Government Association and a Student Ambassador.
Dr. Mahmoud completed internships at Omni Eye Specialists in Baltimore, MD, Eyecare Center of Virginia in Richmond, VA, and W.G. Hefner VAMC in Salisbury, NC. She then completed a residency in Ocular Disease and Surgical Co-magmenent at Omni Eye Specialists in Baltimore, MD. Dr. Mahmoud is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and has special interests in cornea, dry eye disease and clinical research.
She is native to Baltimore, Maryland and enjoys spending time with family, friends, and her black lab Bella. She is a sports fan of the Baltimore Ravens and Orioles. She also enjoys playing violin in her church's orchestra.

Dr. Cunningham
Dr. Cunningham considers it a privilege to combine his love of science with his desire to help others through the practice of ophthalmology. He attended the University of Virginia for both undergraduate and medical school. He studied internal medicine during an internship at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, Cooper Hospital. He then completed a three-year ophthalmology residency at Eastern Virginia Medical School. Following residency, Dr. Cunningham acquired additional expertise in pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus in a fellowship at Georgetown University.
Dr. Cunningham specializes in medical and surgical treatment of eye misalignment and double vision, and accepts referrals form doctors throughout the area. He also cares for patients with glaucoma, cataract, and other common eye diseases. He has been honored to provide care for patients in southern Maryland for over 30 years.
